Zoo Miami is bringing Halloween into daylight on October 24 and 25, with candy stops for younger children and treats for the animals.

Zoo Boo runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days at 12400 SW 152nd Street, Miami, FL 33177. The event is included with regular zoo admission, so families can pair the Halloween activities with a zoo visit.

What is planned

The zoo lists a costume contest with prizes, inflatables, games, a DJ, magic shows and booths from community sponsors. Animals will also receive special enrichment treats. Enrichment gives animals things to explore or work with as part of their care.

The zoo has not yet posted a detailed activity schedule. The official event page will carry those times as the weekend gets closer.

Zoo Boo ends at 3 p.m., while the zoo’s regular posted closing time is 5 p.m. That makes an earlier arrival useful if the Halloween activities are the main reason for going.

What it costs

The zoo’s posted admission prices are $25.95 for adults and visitors ages 13 and older, and $21.95 for children ages 3–12. Children 2 and younger enter free. Members also enter free, and parking is free.

The listed prices do not include the local 7% sales tax. For two adults and two children ages 3–12, admission works out to $95.80 before tax, or about $102.51 with that tax. Food and any optional purchases would add to the day’s cost.

The zoo links directly to ticket sales from its admissions page. Buy through that page and check the terms before paying: posted ticket rules say no refunds or rain checks. A ticket purchase should fit the family’s plans even if the weather changes.

A candy choice with a wildlife link

Zoo Miami also connects the event to its orangutan-friendly candy effort. Its event page links to a palm oil guide and the PalmOil Scan app, tools for checking products while choosing treats.
