Halloween lands on a Saturday, which means a full weekend of costumes, candy and block parties. Here is where to go, neighborhood by neighborhood. Times can change, so check each event's page before you head out.
Brickell

Expect crafts, games, face painting and trick-or-treating. A choir performs at 5:45 p.m., followed by a welcome show and conga line at 6. Registration is required, and the group asks for friendly, not scary, costumes.
Coral Gables
**Saturday, Oct. 31, 3 to 6 p.m.** Trick-or-Treat on the Mile turns Miracle Mile into a candy route, with businesses handing out treats. Face painting and balloon art start at 3:30 p.m., and a magic show starts at 5. It's free, and the city asks people to RSVP.
Nearby, Actors' Playhouse at 280 Miracle Mile hosts a kids' costume parade at 4:30 p.m. Bring the dog, too: the Coral Gables Museum holds a Halloween doggie costume contest at 2 p.m.
Coconut Grove
The Coconut Grove Business Improvement District's Coconut Grove Harvest runs Oct. 23 to Nov. 1, with a pumpkin patch on Fuller Street. On **Saturday, Oct. 31, from 6 to 8 p.m.**, there's storytelling at Books & Books at 6, trick-or-treating and a scavenger hunt, a Fantasy Theatre Factory show at 6:30 and a costume contest at 7:30. It's free to attend.
For grown-ups, Regatta Grove at 3415 Pan American Drive hosts its Fangtasia Halloween party on the bay **Friday and Saturday**. It's 21 and older, with free RSVPs and table reservations.
Miami Beach
**Saturday, Oct. 31, 5 p.m. to 2 a.m.** The Lincoln Road Halloween Block Party is one of the biggest costume parades in town, and it's free. Kids can trick-or-treat early in the evening, from about 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Live music, performers and DJs take over later.
Wynwood
**Saturday, Oct. 31, 7 p.m. to 3 a.m.** HalloWYN, now in its 13th year, fills Wynwood Marketplace at 2250 NW Second Ave. Entry is free, and those who RSVP get a free drink.
Before you go
Plan for crowds on Lincoln Road and in Wynwood, and consider a rideshare or transit if you'll be out late. Downtown, the free Metromover is an easy way to skip parking.
Can't wait for the 31st? Zoo Boo at Zoo Miami runs this weekend, Oct. 24 and 25. For more ideas, see our weekend shortlist and our Metromover guide.
