Founder and editor

The Miami Lookout® is founded and edited by Joe Biscaha, a Miami Beach resident who has spent years following the city's neighborhoods, development pipeline and housing market. He started the publication to give Miamians clear, verified local reporting — what changed, where, and why it matters — without a paywall.

Every story is reviewed by Joe before it is published. Research assistance, including AI-assisted research, is always checked against primary sources and fact-checked before anything goes live.

Corrections policy

We aim to get every fact right the first time. When we get something wrong, we fix it promptly and note the correction on the story. If you spot an error — a date, an address, a name, a figure — please tell us and we will check it against the original sources.
