The Metromover is useful when your plans connect Brickell, Downtown and Museum Park—and you know which station actually serves the place you are going.

Miami-Dade’s free elevated system has 21 stations and normally operates from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week. Its published system map has the Downtown Inner Loop, the northern Omni Loop and the southern Brickell Loop.

This is an evergreen guide checked October 8, 2026. It focuses on destinations and connections; temporary operating patterns can change during the ongoing system upgrade.

Brickell City Centre: use the mall connection

For Brickell City Centre, look for Brickell City Centre (Eighth Street) station on the Brickell Loop. The mall confirms a direct connection at Level 3.

That is the useful detail: the shopping-centre connection is not the same stop as Brickell Metrorail station. If shopping or meeting someone at the mall is your goal, use the station named for the destination rather than treating every “Brickell” reference as interchangeable.

Government Center and Brickell are the Metrorail interchanges shown on the county map. Metrorail is a separate, paid system. The free Metromover ride does not make the connecting rail journey free.

Museum Park: a station for two museums

Museum Park station serves the northern museum area. Frost Science identifies the station beside its entrance, and PAMM is at 1103 Biscayne Boulevard.

Check the museum’s hours as well as the train’s. PAMM’s current directions page lists Tuesday and Wednesday closures, Thursday hours of 11 a.m.–9 p.m., and 11 a.m.–6 p.m. on Friday through Monday. A running train does not mean the museum is open.

On the platform, read the destination display for the service being operated. A museum direction page may describe a different operating pattern from the county’s baseline loop map, especially while upgrades are underway.

Bayside, the arena and the station’s new name

Bayside Marketplace’s own directions recommend College/Bayside station, with the marketplace one block east. That is a more specific arrival plan than getting off somewhere near the waterfront.

For Kaseya Center, be aware of an old name still appearing in venue directions: Park West is now Miami Worldcenter station. Miami-Dade announced the renamed station’s reopening in September 2025, and its December 2025 system map uses the new name.

The arena describes an eastward walk across Biscayne Boulevard from that station area. Freedom Tower has its own Omni Loop station, so do not confuse those two stop names when planning a nearby visit.

Plan the return before a late event

The county’s normal published Metromover closing time is 10 p.m. Do not assume an arena event or another system’s later hours gives you a Metromover ride home afterward.

The system upgrade also makes old route instructions unreliable. A March 2026 county notice described a modified Inner Loop and a Miami Avenue station closure; we could not establish its current status from the live service page. This guide therefore does not promise a particular loop direction or that every station is operating normally.

Use posted platform information and current service notices for that day’s trip. If you depend on an elevator, check its status too; the county provides a red-box request option for backup accessible service when an elevator is unavailable. The destination stops are the planning foundation. The operating notices complete the trip.
