Coral Gables gets a new rooftop for game nights this week. D's Rooftop opens Thursday, Oct. 29, in the space that used to be La Terrazza, above the Daniel's Miami steakhouse, according to the opening announcement shared by Miami Food Pug.

Gioia Hospitality Group runs it. The father-daughter team of Thomas and Kassidy Angelo also runs Daniel's Miami, which ranked No. 40 on the 2026 World's 101 Best Steak Restaurants list. The rooftop takes its cue from the group's D's Sports Bar in Fort Lauderdale.

Where it is

The announcement lists the address as the penthouse level of 1518 San Ignacio Ave. The rooftop has its own private entrance and valet. Daniel's describes the space as sitting on the penthouse level of the building next to the restaurant, with views across Coral Gables and toward the sunset.

What's on the menu

The menu leans on bar food with a steakhouse touch:

  • Wagyu beef empanadas
  • Chicken nuggets and caviar
  • The Heritage Burger
  • A blackened swordfish sandwich

Cocktails include D's Margarita, a White Negroni, the Passion 75 and a Teeling Watermelon Mule.

The weekly lineup

The rooftop will have about 10 TVs and a state-of-the-art sound system for game days. The schedule, as listed in the announcement and by Chili Chili:

  • Thursdays: Steak and Cigar nights, plus Thursday Night Football
  • Fridays: Family BBQ Night starting Oct. 30, with a platter of brisket, tri-tip, wagyu jalapeño cheddar sausage and baby back ribs
  • Saturdays: college football, starting with a watch party for Miami at North Carolina on Oct. 31

The Hurricanes play the Tar Heels at 7:30 p.m. that night in Chapel Hill.

Good to know

Cigar smoking is part of the Thursday program, so plan for that if you are sensitive to smoke. The rooftop also hosts private events for up to 110 seated guests or 150 standing.
