III Points returns to Mana Wynwood on October 16 and 17, and the most useful planning starts before you reach the gates: choose your pass, check your bag and decide how you will get home.

The festival takes place at 2217 NW Fifth Avenue. The current music page lists artists including Four Tet, Lil’ Kim, Blood Orange, Kelela, Parcels and Flying Lotus, with a link to set times for planning around the acts you want to see.

One night or both?

As checked October 13, the official ticket page lists two-day general admission at $359, GA+ at $379, VIP at $475 and VIP+ at $599. Applicable taxes and delivery can be added. Friday general admission starts at $179; Saturday starts at $219.

The Front Gate two-day GA listing breaks the $359 price into a $299 ticket and $60 in fees. Check the final purchase total and current tier before paying, rather than assuming the advertised number covers every charge.

The ticket page gives VIP+ a reentry benefit. Ordinary passes do not allow reentry, so leaving the grounds for dinner or a forgotten item can end your festival visit for that day.

Pack for the gate

The festival guide permits clear bags up to 12 by 6 by 12 inches. Non-clear bags must fit within 6 by 9 inches. Hydration packs can have two main compartments and one small compartment, and must arrive empty.

Empty reusable water bottles are allowed; outside food and drinks are not. Bring physical identification if you plan to drink alcohol, which is restricted to guests 21 and older. These checks are worth making at home, especially with a pass that does not allow you to leave and return.

Plan the ride in—and out

The organizer’s Getting Here page says there is no parking at the venue. Listed drop-off points include 570 NW 28th Street and NW Sixth Place at NW 20th Street.

Pickups use separate locations, including NW Sixth Avenue at NW 30th Street and NW First Avenue at NW 29th Street. Save a pickup point before heading in so the ride home does not begin with a search for a suitable curb outside the festival.

A free option starts tonight

The festival’s Satellite program runs October 13–20 at venues around Miami. Tonight, Dalé Zine at 50 NE 40th Street hosts a TRiP Magazeen book launch from 6–10 p.m., listed as free and all ages with an RSVP.

The program lists an 8 p.m. discussion and a 9 p.m. live performance by Spacetime Continuum. That makes the Design District event a separate, smaller way to join the week’s music activity before the main Wynwood weekend.

For the festival itself, use the current set times to build your plan, and choose a pass and pickup location that fit the night you actually want.
