Divers carving pumpkins underwater and Danny Daze’s planetarium show are among the scheduled attractions at Frost Science’s nightLAB: Weird Science on Thursday, October 15, 2026. The adults-only event runs from 7–11 p.m. at 1101 Biscayne Boulevard in Miami, with admission limited to people 21 and older.
The museum’s event schedule combines scientist presentations, interactive activities and a costume contest. Snacks and cocktails will be available for purchase at Space_Bar by Constellation Culinary Group; they are not included in admission.
What’s on the schedule

Underwater pumpkin carving starts at 7:30 p.m. in the Reef Fishes habitat on Level 3. At 8:15 p.m., FIU ecologist Hong Liu is scheduled to discuss orchid reproduction in “The Sex Lives of Cheating Orchids” on Level 4. Electrical engineer Alessandro Placitelli follows there at 9:30 p.m. with “Build First, Understand Later.”
Planetarium programming begins with Dark Universe at 7:15, 8 and 8:45 p.m. Danny Daze’s ::BLUE:: follows at 9:30, 10:15 and 11 p.m. Both programs require reservations. The final ::BLUE:: performance is listed to start at the advertised event closing time, so confirm its timing when arranging a reservation.
The nightLAB series began in January 2024, when Danny Daze debuted ::BLUE:: at the museum. His October 15 return is part of the III Points Satellite program.
Other activities include VR experiences from MDC MAGIC, interactive artwork from Superblue Miami, a beach-cleanup challenge from Surfrider Miami and information about growing food in space from Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden’s Growing Beyond Earth project.
