Another landmark Downtown hotel just changed hands.
On Oct. 30, Gencom said it had bought the InterContinental Miami with Miami-based White Bridge Capital. The 34-story hotel sits at 100 Chopin Plaza, where the Miami River meets Biscayne Bay.
What buyers get
The hotel has 652 keys, including 22 suites from about 850 square feet up to the 2,800-square-foot Presidential and Royal Suites. Standard rooms average about 405 square feet, Gencom said.
Food and meeting space are a big part of the asset. Gencom lists Toro Toro, Bluewater, Ole, Starbucks and Freddy's Speakeasy on site, plus 35 meeting rooms and more than 90,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space, including SkyLawn.
How it fits Gencom's Miami bet
This is Gencom's second InterContinental after the New York Times Square hotel it bought in late 2025. In Miami, Gencom already points to the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne and a majority stake in the Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove. Miami Today noted the firm is also developing Miami Riverbridge on the Hyatt Regency site nearby.
White Bridge Capital and its family-office partners put in a significant share of the equity, Gencom said. Public reports have put the price around $300 million; Gencom's own release does not state a purchase price, so treat that figure as reported, not confirmed by the buyer.
What it means for Downtown
The hotel is already renovated, so Gencom says the focus is revenue across rooms, meetings and dining rather than a gut rebuild. Downtown's mix of corporate, leisure and group demand, plus big events, is the investment thesis the firm spells out.
